Oshie thrives as middle man

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — In nearly 24 minutes of ice time Monday in Calgary, the Blues’ T.J. Oshie had no goals, no assists, and didn’t even register a shot on goal. He also lost seven of his 13 face-off attempts.

And yet …

“He was the best player on the ice — for both teams,” Blues President John Davidson said. “It’s very interesting how a player that doesn’t get a goal or an assist can have as much of an impact on the game. That was really good to watch.”
